Mr. Houghton, owing to his advanced age, has been in delicate health for some time, but never considered seriously ill by the physician. Yetserday a Mr. McLaughlin, a brother-in-law of Mr. Houghton, was buried, and it is thought the loss of this friend worried Mr. Houghton so much that it hurried his end. He did not show any signs of violent sickness until five or ten minutes before he died. As he has been in failing health and under the care of a physician, it was considered unnecessary to notify the coroner.
