All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT JOHNSON OBIT 1922 OBITUARY ROBERT JOHNSON 16 March 1922 The funeral of ROBERT JOHNSON, who died at the home of his son-in-law ALBERT LONG, on West Third street, yesterday afternoon, will be held from the undertaking parlors of Mrs. A. J. Quinby and Son on South Orange street, at 11 o'clock, Saturday morning. Interment will be mad at MEDIA CEMETERY. MR. JOHNSON was born in Chester County, 82 (78) years ago. He came to Delaware County, when two years of age. For forty-two years he was employed by the late HOWARD LEWIS at his paper mill. He was a watchman at the VICTORIA PLUSH MILLS, Swarthmore, for nineteen years. The past five years he has been making his home among his children. MR. JOHNSON served in the Civil War with the 97th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. In religion he was a Baptist. Surviving are the following children: MRS. LENA DUEY, of Sun Village; LACY JOHNSON, of Marcus Hook; ANDREW JOHNSON, of Upper Providence; and MRS. ALBERT (Abbie) LONG, of Media. The deceased had been ailing the past three months.
