JOHNSTON OBIT 1945 19 April 1945 Oxford News SAMUEL J. JOHNSTON SAMUEL J. JOHNSTON, 77, husband of Mrs. Carrie BRYAN JOHNSTON, Wilmington, Del., died Wednesday in Delaware Hospital, where he had been a patient since Sunday week. Born in Kemblesville, Mr. JOHNSTON had spent most of his life in Wilmington. For many years he was employed at what once was HARLAN plant of the Bethlehem Steel Company, until he was retired some years ago. Surviving are five children: James E. JOHNSTON, Mrs. Mary Betty and Mrs. Frances KOSSEK, Wilmington; Morris B. JOHNSTON, St. Paul, Minn.; and Mrs. Alice CORUSO, Arlington, Va.; and a brother, Jack JOHNSTONE. Mr. JOHNSTON was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Elizabeth's R. C. church.
