       Benjamin H. LAWTON, 78, husband of the late Mary I. MILES LAWTON, 
   of 506 N. Jackson St., Media, died on Tuesday in the Bethel Nursing Home, 
   Claymont, Del.
       A retired carpenter, Mr. LAWTON was born in Tanguy, Chester County, 
   son of the late Jaebus (Jabez) B. and Alice G. LAWTON.
       Surviving are three sons, Harry A. of Greylin Crest, Del.; Robert P., of
   Newark, Del.; and Bruce E. of Chester; six daughters, Mrs. Helen BALDWIN,
   of Newtown Square; Mrs. Bertha NEUBERT of Folsom; Mrs. Alice MARCH, 
   of Chester; Mrs. Dorothy SMALTZ, of Bridgeton, N. J.; Mrs. Joy HUSBANDS, 
   of Wilmington, Del.; and Mrs. Blanche Mc FALL, of Media, with whom he 
   resided; a sister, Mrs. Sarah SHUFF of Philadelphia; 35 grandchildren and
   13 great-grandchildren.
