          J. L. LAWTON of Westtown, husband of ANNA SPEAKMAN LAWTON, 
      died suddenly on Saturday, suffering a heart attack. He was 73.
          Mr. LAWTON had lived most of his life in this vicinity.
          He was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church and several other 
      fraternal orders.
          Surviving besides his wife are three children: ETHEL MAY at home; 
      ELSIE, wife of HOWARD HULL, Goshens Heights; LAWRENCE EARL, 
      West Chester; and five grandchildren.
          A daughter, VERA, died in 1928.

  LAWTON--In Thornbury Township, Delaware County, on July 5, 1958,
      JABEY L., husband of ANNA S. LAWTON, in the 74th year of his life.
      Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral
  without further notice from the Hicks Funeral Home, 229 S. High St., West 
  Chester, on Wednesday, July 9th, at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Birmingham 
  Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.
