                                 MAJOR

            PAUL M. MAJOR, 72, of 149 2nd Ave., Newtown, died
        Thursday in Bryn Mawr Hospital.
            Mr. MAJOR was born in Aldan and was a lifetime
        resident of Delaware County. He lived about six years in
        Larchmont.
            He was a retired gardener and at one time worked for
        Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Chester.
            He is survived by his widow, the former FLORENCE
        FOSSETT, two daughter, Mrs. FRANK WEAVER of Glen
        Riddle and Mrs. CLARENCE PECK of Spring City; one
        brother, MERRITT, a sister, Mrs. ANNIE TAYLOR, both of
        New Jersey and four grandchildren.
            Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Rothermel
        Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Road, Haverford Township.
        Burial will be in Pughtown.
            Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the
        funeral home.
