Mr. Peters was born in Concord and lived all his life in the Concord-Bethel - Upper Chichester area. He retired in 1966 from Sun Oil Co., Marcus Hook, where he was employed 23 years as a machinist. He was a member of Siloam United Methodist Chruch, Bethel; Concord Masonic Lodge 265, Nur Temple Shrine of Wilmington and the Wilmington Consistory; a charter member of Ogden Fire Co. and a member of Sun Oil's Honor Clubs. In his younger years he was an outstanding baseball and basketball player. He is survived by his widow, the former Rachel E. Anderson; three sons, George W. Peters of Upper Chichester, Frank C. of Dover, Del., and Clarence M. of State College; a sister, Mrs. Eva Grunwell of Upper Chichester; three brothers, George C. and John Peters, both of Upper Chichester, and Harry of Salisbury, Md., and six grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Maxwell-Boyer Funeral home, 1834 Meetinghouse Road, Boothwyn, Upper Chichester. Burial will be in Siloam Cemetery, Booth's Corner.
