                   FINAL RITES FOR MRS. SEENEY

        Funeral services for MRS. ELIZABETH BATIPPS SEENEY,
        wife of JAMES SEENEY, aged 62 years, will be held in the
        Union African Methodist Episcopal Church, North Olive
        street, Media, tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. Interment
        will follow at INDIAN HILL CEMETERY, Kennett Square.
            The deceased, a daughter of REV. WILLIAM L. BATIPPS
        and the late MARGARET B. BATIPPS, had been ill for the
        past six months. She died at her home in South Media,
        Saturday.
            Mrs. SEENEY was born at Media Park and had always
        resided in Media. She attended the Lower Bank public
        school.
            She was a member of the Union A. M. E. Church, 
        Media.
            She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs.
        LORETTA STOGGEN, Mrs. CHRISTINE MATTHEWS,
        of South Media; Miss CELESTINE SEENEY, of Morton
        and JOHN SEENEY, of South Media; seven
        grandchildren; three sister, Mrs. BERTHA JOHNSON,
        Mrs. MARY SAUNDERS and Mrs. GEORGANNA 
        BROOKS, of South Media; and three brothers,
        THOMAS F. BATIPPS, an undertaker, and SAMUEL
        BATIPPS, of South Media, and PERCY OLIVER
        BATIPPS, a well known poet, of Village View, Media.

        SEENEY -- On July 30 SUSAN ELIZABETH wife of
        JAMES SEENEY and daughter of REV. WM. L. and
        the late MARGARET BATIPPS, aged 62 years.
            Relatives and friends also all organizations of
        which she was a member are invited to service on
        Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 1 o'clock at the Trinity UAME
        Church N. Olive st., Media. Interment at UNION
        HILL CEMETERY. Friends may call at the home of 
        THOS. F. BATIPPS Monday evening 7 to 10 p.m.
