MATILDA R. THOMAS Mrs. MATILDA R. THOMAS, wife of JOHN E. THOMAS, of 339 West State street, Media, died at her home at 7:20 o'clock Saturday night after an illness of more than a year. Her death was due to Brights Disease. Mrs. THOMAS had been a resident of Media for the past forty years. She was born at _____ corner, Easttown township, Chester county, on June 7 1863. She was a daughter of EDWARD and ABBEY SHARP YARNALL. Mrs. THOMAS was a member of the First Baptist church of Media and took an active part in all affairs of the church. She also was a charter member of Camp No. ___, Pat___ Order of America of Media. Her funeral will be from her late residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. THOMAS is survived by her husband, one son, CLIFFORD A. THOMAS, of Media; five brothers, MENTOR YARNALL, of Media; JOSEPH YARNALL, Sr., of Downingtown; THOMAS YARNALL, of West Chester; SAMUEL YARNALL, of West Chester; and JOHN E. YARNALL, of Chester. A sister, Mrs. SUSAN RODENBAUGH, of Media; and three grandchildren, JOHN M. CRYSTAL, Jr., CLIFFORD A. THOMAS, Jr., and BERTHA THOMAS also survive.
