                             Obituary

            CHARLES H. THOMPSON, 74, died unexpectedly on
        Friday at his home, 12 W. 2nd St., Media. He was the
        husband of the late MARY ELLEN THOMPSON.
            Mr. THOMPSON was born and lived all of his life in
        Media. He was a semi-retired member of the Media Police
        Force.
            He is survived by a son, EDWARD of Spring City, Pa.;
        two daughters, Mrs. VIRGINIA DIAMOND of West Chester
        and Mrs. MARGARET GREGORY of Chester; six
        grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
            The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the J. Nelson
        Rigby funeral home, Baltimore Ave. and Jackson St.,
        Media. Burial will be in Media Cemetery. Friends may call
        at the funeral home Monday evening.
