                      Mrs. Delia Townsend

            Mrs. DELIA TOWNSEND, 76, died on Monday at her 
        home in Concordville after a length illness.
            Mrs. TOWNSEND was an old resident of Concordville,
        and was a member of Thornbury A.M. E. Church. She
        was also a member of Jane Tent.
            Surviving Mrs. TOWNSEND are her husband, ANDREW,
        and one sister, Mrs. NORRIS BOLDEN, of Concordville.
            Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
        Thornbury Church. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m.
        Wednesday at the funeral home of Thomas F. Batipps,
        Washington ave., South Media and from 5 -9 p.m. at her
        late residence. Burial will be in Thornbury Cemetery.
