      WASHINGTON, JOHN W. D.
          a resident of Media for about forty years; died March 1949; aged
      53 years; in the University of Pennsylvania Hospital; born in Maryland;
      an employee at Swarthmore College; member of the colored Masonic
      fraternity and Lima UMAE Church; survived by his widow, ELISE; his
      mother, MRS. CLARA WASHINGTON; two sisters, MISS BERTIE
      WASHINGTON and MRS. MYRTLE B. JOHNSON; and four brothers,
      GEORGE, ROBERT, GORDON and JOSEPH; interment in EDEN
      CEMETERY, Darby, Pa.
