                          Edward J. Young

            EDWARD J. YOUNG, 81, who retired in 1946 from the
        Commercial Department of the Bell Telephone Co. after
        more than 40 years of service, died, Tuesday, he lived
        at 622 Prospect Ave., Prospect Park.
            Mr. YOUNG, was born in Media and lived in Delaware
        County most of his life. He was a member of the George
        W. Bartram Lodge of Media and Upper Darby Council of
        the Bell Telephone Company. He is survived by his widow,
        the former ETHEL WARD; two sons, EDWARD J., Jr., of
        Ohio and LEWIS M., of Media; a brother, LINCOLN, of
        Media and seven grandchildren. 
            Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the William C. Rigby
        Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media. Burial will be in Media
        Cemetery, Media.
 
 
Note: Oldest son of Dr. Thomas D. and Orpha Young of Media
         Grandson of Nathan Young and Catharine Downs of Haverford
