PAINTER, Samuel, Thornbury.
February 1, 1818 - December 20, 1823.
Wife Esther, sister Lydia wife of Isaac BAILY and her sons James of 
Baltimore and Thomas of East Marlborough and Vincent of Mereland. Names 
four nieces: Betty MERCER; Lydia BENNETT, Esther CLEMSON and Hannah 
DICKENSON; a cousin Samuel Painter MERCER; Emy DIXON widow of brother 
in law Isaac DIXON of Wilmington; a stepson Jesse CHANDLER and his son 
Samuel Painter CHANDLER; niece Esther TATE and brother in law William 
TATE; Ruth and Hannah GILPIN daughters of Isaac G. GILPIN; Esther 
Painter JONES daughter of Benjamin and Ann JONES of E. Bradford; Samuel 
son of cousin Joseph PAINTER and Lydia his wife. Exrs: Sd. wife and 
cousins Jesse MERCER, Thomas BAILY and James BAILY sons of brother 
Isaac BAILY. Wits: William CHEYNEY and Joseph James.
Codicil of October 27, 1823 mentions Joshua TATE, Martha TATE, Caleb J. 
HOOPER and Daniel SPEAKMAN.
