SWAFFER, WILLIAM, surveyor, Borough of Chester now called Delaware.
May 8, 1792 - December 11, 1793.
Wife Abigail, law books and instruments to nephew Roger DICKS, other 
nephews and nieces: Catherine DAVIS, Jane wife of John PEIRCE, Daniel 
HUMPHREYS, Rachel ELLIS, Hannah ELLIS wife of Abraham DAVIS and 
children of his sister Ann ELLIS, December'd., Phebe daughter of sister 
Hannah HUMPHREYS now wife of Michael MINEAR and Eleanor widow of 
Nehemiah DAVIS - mentions being executor of Peter DICK'S estate - 
mentions the Jacob GILES affair and gives one third his share of 
commissions to his wife Abigail SWAFFER and to his wife's children, 
namely: John WORRALL, Sarah wife of Levis MATSON, Rachel wife of 
Nehemiah MATSON, Abigail wife of Joseph THATCHER and Mary wife of 
Samuel Richards, Jr. Gives wife property in Chester purchased by John 
OWEN, for life, then to William DAVIS, son of nephew Nehemiah DAVIS, 
December'd., land purchased of William CROSBY in Ridley - mentions six 
daughters of Nehemiah DAVIS namely: Mary, Sarah, Elizabeth, Eleanor, 
Dorothy and Susanna, also Benjamin BURK and Rachel CHERRY seemingly as 
servants receiving legacies, land purchased of Daniel JAMES to go to 
his wife Abigail. Exrs: Wife and Roger DICKS.
