Elk County Gazette November 11, 1934
Mr and Mrs John B. Geitner, who resided for years in the Windfall Road 
section, but now make their home with their son John on Washington Street, on 
Sunday celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

They were guests of honor at a dinner served at the home of their daughter, 
Mrs. Frank Schwabenbauer, of Eshbach Road, where 40 guests were present for 
the occasion.

Out of town relatives at the dinner included:  M/M William Nist of 
Johnsonburg; M/M William Geitner of Warren; Mrs. William Stout of Emporium; 
M/M John Kliver of Ridgway; M/M Andrew Geitner of Silver Creek, NY; Margaret 
and Mary Geitner, Mabel Suter and Ernest Sharp of Warren; Charle Brent and 
Richard Geitner, of Silver Creek, NY.
Mr and Mrs Geitner, the latter Miss Barbara Wendel, prior to her marriage, 
were married in St. Marys church, October 29, 1869.
They attended mass in St. Marys church Monday morning, received Communion and 
had their marriage vows re-blessed.
Mr. Geitner will be 89 in December.  His wife was 84 in May.

Both Mr and Mrs Geitner are enjoying good health, despite the weight of many 
years which rests upon them.  The Gazette joins with their many friends in 
offering congratulations and best wishes for many happy returns.
