Gladys Beldin
   EMPORIUM - Gladys S. Beldin, 87, of Sterling Run died Sunday (May 30, 1999) 
in her home.
   Born Nov. 6, 1911, in Tyler, she was a daughter of Edward and Laura Yale 
Smith.  On Sept. 9, 1927 in Tyler, she married Charles F. Beldin, who died may 
18, 1993.
   A resident of Sterling Run of 53 years, Mrs. Beldin was a member of the 
First United Methodist Church of Sterling Run.  She was also a member of the 
Driftwood Senior Center.
   Surviving are three sons, Lloyd P. Beldin of Ocean City, N.J., Richard C. 
Beldin and Dennis M. Beldin, both of Sterling Run, four daughters, Donna Cool 
and Susan Gibbs, both of Emporium, Laura Arndt of Ridgway and Phyllis Gower of 
Mill Hall, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, a brother, Harry Smith of 
Scattertown; a sister, Dora Smith of Scattertown, and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by seven brothers, two sisters, one son and nine 
grandchildren.
   Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 
Coopersmith-Condon Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. 
Wednesday.  Committal services will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Gardner Hill 
Cemetery, Force, with Rev. Dwight Simpson, pastor of the Faith Baptist Church 
of Emporium, officiating.  Burial will be in Gardner Hill Cemetery.
