Death was due to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Daniels was born in Germany, August 1, 1839, and came to this country many years ago. She had been a consistent member of the St. Marys church and was a member of the Altar Society. She is survived by three sons; John of St. Marys; and Frank and Casper, of Petoskey, Mich.; five daughters, Mrs. Henry Portzer, Mrs. Joseph Knight, Mrs. John Lenze and Mrs. John Feldbauer, of St. Marys and Mrs. George Pistner, Medix Run. Three brothers, Peter Wegemer, of this place; and Casper and Frank Wegemer, of Petoskey, Mich., also survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at ten o'clock. Services will be held at the St. Marys Church and burial made in the St. Marys Cemetery. Additional Comments: Appelona was the daughter of Johann Wegemer and was born in Bavaria. She came to St. Marys with her father at age 4 and married Theodore Daniels July 4, 1856 in the St. Marys Church. He had been born in Duiven, Gelderland, The Netherlands. She had 3 half brothers but her mother must have died in Germany. She was raised by her father's second wife, Ottilla Rost. Appelonia and Theodore were parents of 10 children.
