Frantz Dead, Funeral was Sunday Johnsonburg PA Deceased had lived here about four years- Was Aged 58 yrs. Born in Shawmut Mrs. Mary Frantz died shortly after 11 o'clock last Thursday night (Nov 16, 1923) in the Kane hospital, following an illness of two years with complications. Before being taken to Kane she was a patient for several weeks in the St. Marys hospital. Funeral Services were held from the late residence on Sunday afternoon, with internment in Pine Grove Cemetery at Ridgway. the Reverend Benjamin Thomas of the Presbyterian Church conducted the funeral. The deceased was aged 58 years, and had been a resident here for about four years, the family having moved here from Medix Run. She is survived by her husband, and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Harry Portzer, Ridgway; Mrs. Robert Irwin, Mrs. John Donahue and Stewart of Johnsonburg, Milton and Russell at home; Mrs. Harold Bressler, Richmond VA, and Frank of Tarentum. Deceased was born in Shawmut on May 24, 1865. (Should have been 1864 her sister was born in May 1865) Out of town residents present at the funeral were J.C. LeRoy, Lorain Ohio, Mrs. Clara McKay and daughter Grace, of DuBois, Mrs. Phoebe Young of Big Run; Mr. and Mrs. George Chambers and Grace of Penfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chambers, Caledonia; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Portzer and children, Ridgway; Frank Frantz, Tarentum; Mrs. Harold Bressler, Richmond VA.
