Although ill for a long time she was not confined to bed until last week. Her condition took a turn for the worse Tuesday morning and her death was looked for momentarily from that time on. The deceased, whose maiden name was Magdalene Funk, was born in Bavaria, Germany, February 13, 1861, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Funk who died in their native land. She came to St. Marys when 23 years old and lived here for the rest of her life. She was married to George Haberberger at St. Marys Church, August 19, 1884. He still survives as do eight of the nine children born to them. The survivors are: Anthony A., George, Edward, Esther (Mrs. Michael Baumer), Catherine (Mrs. Michael Andres), Carrie (Mrs. George Andres), Rose (Mrs. Joseph Schaberl), all of St. Marys and Miss Loretta, at home. A son, John, died in November 1924. Twenty-nine grandchildren are also numbered among the survivors, as is one sister, still living in Germany. She was a member of St. Marys parish and an active worker in the Altar Society previous to her illness. Members of that organization will attend the funeral which will be held from St. Marys Church Saturday monring at 9:30, to be followed by interment in St. Marys Cemetery.
