Mrs. Dessie McCracken
   WEEDVILLE - Mrs. Dessie Etta McCracken, wife of James W> McCracken of 
Weedville RD, died at 3:45 a. m. Thursday in Port Allegany Community Hospital 
after an extended illness.  She was 73.
   Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Saturday from the McCracken residence 
on Weedville RD with Rev. Charles C. Graham officiating.  Burial will be in 
Penfield Cemetery.
   Mrs. McCracken was born June 2, 1885 in Hoovertown, near Penfield, daughter 
of Henry and Sarah Yale.  She was married to James W. McCracken, who survives. 
   She was a member of the Mill Run Methodist Church, Women’s Society of 
Christian Service and Women’s Christian Temperance Union.
   Besides her husband, Mrs. McCracken is survived by four daughters: Mrs. 
Marie Huff, Sykesville; Mrs. Ada Bennett, Bradford; Mrs. Alverda Iverson, 
Lynwood, Dal.; Mrs. Dora Colosimo, Smethport; a son, Walter, at home; a 
sister, Mrs. Emma Smith, Force; a brother, Lyn, Weedville RD; and seven 
grandchildren.
   Two sons preceded her in death.
