Jacob H. Smith, 70, Active in Clubs, Dies on Saturday
   JOHNSONBURG (Special) - Jacob Harris Smith, 70, of W. Center St., a 
resident of this community for most of his life, died Saturday afternoon at 
3:45 o’clock.
   Mr. Smith was born June 21, 1884, at Gardner Hill.  He was a member of Holy 
Rosary Church, St. Marys Lodge of Elks, Ridgway Eagles, and the Johnsonburg 
Moose.
   He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Reamer, Denver, Colo.: Miss 
Gwendolyn Smith, a nurse at Haaot Hospital in Erie; and Mrs. Edward Ottmiller 
and Mrs. Dolly Rosenhoover, both of Johnsonburg; also a son, Francis, of 
Johnsonburg; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
   A Requiem High Mass will be celebrated tomorrow morning at 9 o’clock in 
Holy Rosary Church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. William L. Sullivan officiating, 
followed by burial in the Wardvale Catholic Cemetery.
