Dewey Yale SINCLAIRVILLE, N.Y. -- The Rev. Dewey M. Yale, 85, a resident of Heritage Village, Gerry, since 1972, died Tuesday evening in Heritage Village Health Center, where he had been a patient since Feb. 1981. Born Aug. 17, 1898, in Brockport, Pa., he was the son of Alexander and Della Silvas Yale. On March 23, 1932, he married Hattie R. Rennells, who survives. He had been a Free Methodist minister since 1932 and had served several churches in the Oil City, Pa., conference. He then transferred to the Maryland-Virginia conference, where he was elected superintendent. He later returned to the Oil City conference, serving churches in the Franklin, Pa., Sheffield, Pa., and State College, Pa., among others, retiring in 1968. Surviving in addition to his wife is one sister, Mrs, Susie Bish of Newville, Pa. He was preceded in death by eight sisters and five brothers. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Jordan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gerry Free Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport [PA].
