All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Mary Jean Kwitowski mpeanut123@msn.com January 20, 2009, 7:46 pm Source: Elk County Courthouse, Ridgway, Pa Written: February 22, 1883 Recorded: June 17, 1886 314 Will and Testement Know all men by their presents that Joseph Bloessel of OF St. Marys, Elk County, State of Pennsylvania being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make and Joseph Bloessel publish this my ladt will and testement hereby revoking of St. Marys, Elk Co., PA all former wills by me at any time heretofore made, and Dated Feby 22, 1883 as to my worldly estate and all the property real personal Registered June 17, 1886 occupied of which I shall die seized and possessed or to which I am entitled at the time of my decease, I desire, bequeath and dispose thereof in the manner following to wit: My will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my executor hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as convenient, the expense of my funeral not to exceed thirty dollars. I give and bequeath and order that twenty five dollars to be paid to the Pastor of the Roman Catholic Church (German) at St. Marys for which masses are to be read for the repose of my soul, which masses are to be read one a week after my decease and to be paid for by my said Executor out of my said Estate. I give and bequeath and devise to my son John my house and lot situated on St. Marys Street in said St. Marys with all improvements as well as all the household goods, tools and clothing and other chattels whatever. Also five hundred dollars in money, he the said John to pay all the expenses of prooving, recording and executing this my last will and testement. To my son George I give and bequeath the sum of Five Hundred dollars, to my son Christopher I give and bequeath the sum of Five dollars and forgive him the debt he owes me, and to my son Joseph I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and forty dollars and forgive him the debt he owes me. And I do nominate and appoint my said son John to be the executor of this my last will and testement. In testimony whereof I the said Joseph Bloessel have to this my last will and testement subscribed my name and affixed my seal this twenty second day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty three (1883). Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Joseph Bloessel as and for his last will and testement in the presense of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, Geo. Ed Weis Michael Brunner State of Pennsylvania Elk County, US Before me Chas McVean Dep. register of wills and c. in and for the said county personally came Geo. Ed Weis and Michael Brunner the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn according to law dispose and say that they were personally present and saw and heard Joseph Bloessel the testator within named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing Instrument of writing as and for his last will and testement and at the time of so doing was of sound mind, memory, and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief-- Sworn and subscribed before me this 7th day of June AD 1886.
