                                              STAFFORD BURIAL PLOT
                                                      McKean Twp, Erie Co., PA      

This small burial plot is hidden in the woods off Shadduck Road. Two stones are leaning against a tree, apparently not in 
original positions.  One very pronounced grave depression is visible nearby.  Reading was done by Thomas H. Hutzelman.

Jonas Stafford/ died/  July 31, 1852/ AE 78 yrs. (7?ms & 2 ds)/ (Part of last line is broken off. The month and day figures are 
the best judgement based on the parts of the numerals visible.

Amy/ wife of/ Johan Stafford/ died/ Feb 11, 1867/ Agd/ 74ys 11mo/ & 29 dys/

*Jonas' first wife was Alma PARK.  Amy was his 2nd wife.
