L, 3rd Artillery enrolled Feb. 24, 1864 at Waterford, Pa. and was mustered in the same day as Private. He was aged 41 at enrollment, with a light complexion, stood 5' 4.75" tall, blue eyes, brown hair and was a miller by occupation, residing in Erie County, Pa. He was a native of Scotland.
