SHERER Glenn M. Sherer, 81, of the Country Gardens Trailer Park in Lake City, formerly of McKean, died Monday at the Erie Veterans Administration Hospital. He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, June 15, 1897. Mr. Sherer was a retired employee of the Erie Plating Co. and served in the infantry during World War I. He was a member of the McKean Lutheran Church, the Fairview Citizens Club and the Girard XYZ Club. His first wife, Lillian Sherer, died in 1972. Survivors include his widow, Edna Struchen Sherer, three sons, Henry H. Soety of Girard, Edwin C. Soety of Waterford and Leon A. Soety of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Conrad (Betty) Eisert of Erie; and five brothers, Roy C. Sherer of Orlando, Fla., Claud F. Sherer of Toledo, Ohio, and Donald E. Sherer, John Sherer and Robert P. Sherer, all of Marion, Ohio. Friends may call at the Chester S. Schaal Funeral Home, 550 W. 9th, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held Thursday at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
