STRUBEL One of Erie County's Oldest Residents Passes Away. Mrs. Philopena Strubel, relict of the late Daniel Strubel, a former well known farmer of West Millcreek, died yesterday morning at the residence of Chris. Weitzel, in Fairview township, after an illness of two weeks, with an illness that terminated with inflammation of the bowels. Mrs. Strubel was one of Erie county's earliest settlers. She was a consistent member of St. John's Lutheran church since its organization, and was loved by all for her many Christian virtues. Eight children survive her, four boys and four girls, The funeral is announced to take place Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the St. John's church.
