    Johnson Hough, Washington Tp, Fayette Co, Pa May 17, 1922 1:07 PM
          I arrived here ten minutes ago & Mr & Mrs Hough have brought out his
  father's Bible which is well preserved & is 33 lines long & 27 lines wide.  The
  Bible was printed by James A. Bill Phila 1849 & the record is as follows:

                            Marriages
   Abraham Hough & his wife were married May 24, 1832

                      Births
    Abraham Hough was born April 10, 1803
    Catharine Waltz was born Oct 19, 1813
          Their children were:
    1. David Hough was born Aug 1, 1833
    2. Jacob Waltz Hough was born Nov 10, 1834
    3. Cyrus Hough was born Mch 5, 1837
    4. William Addison Hough was born July 18, 1839
    5. Hallick J. Hough was born Dec 18, 1841
    6. Elisabeth J. Hough was born Mch 27, 1844
    7. William Playford Hough was born Oct 9, 1846
    8. Johnston Hough was born Feby 8, 1849
    9. Catharine Hough was born Nov 8, 1853
    10. Joseph Sylvester Hough was born Sept 11, 1855

                      Deaths
    [margin note says that the first two:] died of scarlet fever.
    Elisabeth J. Hough died June 5, 1849 aged 5 yrs 2 mos & 9 days
    William P. Hough died June 5, 1849 aged 2 yrs 7 mos & 27 days
    William Addison Hough died Aug 23, 1863 aged 23 yrs 1 mos & 5 days
    Jacob Waltz Hough died Apr 15, 1864 aged 29 yrs 6 mos & 5 days
    Halleck G. Hough died Oct 9, 1871 aged 29 yrs 9 mos & 21 days

    Abram Hough died Feby 29, 1872 aged 68 yrs 10 mos & 18 days
    Dr David Henry Hough died Aug 18, 1873 aged 40 yrs 16 days
    Catharine Hough died Nov 28, 1879 aged 69 yrs 9 days?
    Cyrus Hough died Apr 26, 1902 aged 65 yrs 1 mos & 23 days

          Mr & Mrs Hough have brought out their own Bible which is a large one
  well bound & published by the National Pub Co Phila which is 35 lines long & 29
  lines wide.  The record is as follows:
    Johnson Hough was born Feby 8, 1849
    Sylvania Lynn was born Dec 24, 1857
    They were married at the home of Denton Lynn, her father, on June 16, 1881 by
  Rev B.H. Fish.

    owns.  They have four children: Viz:
    1. Nellie Elizabeth was born Nov 24, 1905
    2. Edgar Denton was born July 8, 1907
    3. Willis was born Mch 1913
    4. Mildred was born Jany 1916
