She come from german ancestry. She grew up with seven brothers and sisters, Henry, Anna, Ella, Randall, Mckinley, Julia and James. Mary was nicknamed "Lena" which she went by through-out her entire life. Lena's father lost one of his arms, and still built his family a cabin to live in even with one arm. In 1898 Lena met and married David Lindeman. They lived in Indian Creek in Fayette County Pennsyvania. They had one child who was named Cora A Lindeman. On January 11 1900 David was killed in and Automoble accident. Lena and her daughter moved and lived with her sister Ella for a while. While living with her sister Lena met and married John Irvin Fosbrink in Normalville, Pennsyvania. She had twelve more children with John. Shea had Susannah,Rosalie, Charles, Harry, Daniel, Gertrude, Samuel, Martha, Mabel, John Irvin jr., Beatrice and Donald. Lena loved her family very much and would have them come to her house every sunday to have dinner. Lena was very involved with the community, she attended the Breakneck Church of God, where she took her kids each week during their growing up years. She was also a mid-wife and helped deliver many babies through-out the Connelsville area. Towards the later part of her life she lost a son, who was named Harry in World War 2 and also one of her brothers died in a drowning aincident which caused her to always be very nervous and unable to calm down. Lena passed away on April 30, 1953. She was living in Connelsville at the time and was survived by her husband, John Fosbrink. After she passed away she was buried in the Percy Cemetery.
