FAMILY GROUP of Addie Mills Murray and Elijah Murray of Fayette County, PA. Elijah Murray (1864-1943) was the son of Levi and Mary Agnes Murray of Springfield Township, Fayette County, PA. Addie Leona Rose Mills (1887-1965) was the daughter of John Samuel Mills and Mary Ann Davis Mills, of Fayette County. The Mills Family was originally from Clear Spring, MD. Elijah L. Murray married Addie Mills on August 26, 1908. He had been married and widowed prior to marrying Addie Mills. The following children were born of their union: Norman Thomas Murray January 7, 1923 - July 11, 1972 Funeral services for Mr. Norman Thomas Murray, 49, of Brandon, will be held this morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Stowers Chapel with the Reverend Ross M. Geiger officiating. Interment will follow in Limona Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marion Murray; one son, Norman Thomas Murray, Jr., both of Brandon; two daughters, Mrs. Donna M. Allen, Tampa, Miss Shelley Murray, Brandon; three brothers, James Murray, Detroit, Mich., George Murray, Dunbar, Pa., and Milton Murray, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Renniger, Uniontown, Pa., and Mrs. Goldie Marnell, Dunbar, Pa. Brandon News, Brandon FL George S. Murray September 7, 1910 - February 3, 1991 George S. Murray, Sr., 80, of 28 Second St., Dunbar (Speers Hill), died Sunday at Uniontown Hospital. He was born September 7, 1910 at Leisenring, son of the late E.L. and Addie Mills Murray. He was retired from Fruehauf Corp. and was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW Post 47 of Uniontown. He was a member of Dunbar VFD and Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church Surviving are his wife, Alice E. Dean Murray, one son, George S. Murray, Jr. of Dunbar; three grandchildren; a brother, Milton Murray in Ohio, and two sisters, Mrs. John (Goldie Marnell) of Dunbar and Mary Renniger of Uniontown. He was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Murray, a brother, Norman Murray and half-brothers, John, Elmer, Russell and James Murray. (Buried at Mt. Auburn Cemetery) Connellsville Courier Goldie Agnes Murray Marnelli March 10, 1917-August 12,1992 Goldie M. Marnelli, 75, of Dunbar, died Wednesday, August 12, 1992, at home. Born March 10, 1917, in Lemont Furnace, she was a homemaker. Surviving are two sons, John Marnell and James Marnell, both of Dunbar; four daughters, Theresa Cook and Rose Jean Baker, both of Baltimore, Nina Riley of Orlando, Fla., and Regina Frick of Dunbar; one sister, Mary Renniger, of Uniontown; five grandchildren, Michael Marnell, Joseph Marnell, John Marnell, Jr., Todd Frick and James Marnell, Jr. all of Dunbar; seven step-grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, James Marnelli, in 1990, two sons, Michael Marnell, 1958, and Robert Marnell in 1973; and several brothers and sisters. Connellsville Courier Helen Louise Murray December 31, 1920-February 18, 1922 Helen L. Murray, one year, one month and 18 days old, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Murray of Evans Station, died at 8 o'clock Saturday evening from an illness of diphtheria. Interment took place in Hill Grove Cemetery this morning at 8 o'clock. The parents were former Coalbrook residents. Sarah was born on August 21, 1871 in Springfield Township. She died between 1901 and 1908. They had the following children: Russell Murray August 9, 1894 - September 28, 1932 Russell Murray, 38 years old, of Lemont Furnace, died Wednesday at Uniontown Hospital from pneumonia. He was removed to the institution on Friday, September 23. Mr. Murray, a stationary engineer for the H.C. Frick Coke Company at the Lemont Furnance plant, is survived by his wife Pearl, and five children: Elizabeth, Russell, Wade, Barbara and Milton. He is also survived by his father and stepmother of Lemont, and the following brothers and sisters: Elmer of Lemont, John of Republic, James, Mrs. Mary Renniger, George, Goldie, Norman and Milton, all at home. The funeral service will be held in the Lemont Church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. W.S. Hamilton and Rev. W.D. Whetsel officiating. Interment will be made in Hills Grove Cemetery, Connellsville, in charge of Funeral Director Charles C. Mitchell.
