On file at Uniontown Courthouse, Fayette County, Pennsylvania. *Note__This indenture is three fold.. The land described was deeded First to Joseph Bell, then purchased by Samuel Shipley. Samuel Shipley then sold a portion of the land to Francis Morrison. Francis Morrison then sold his portion of land to Francis Morrison Junior. Francis Morrison Junior then sold the land to Mary Shipley. I will post all of the indentures separate. Whereas the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for and in consideration of the monies paid hath granted unto "SAMUEL SHIPLEY" a certain tract of land in Henry Clay Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania Containing "Four Hundred and Thirty Three acres" and "Ninety Two Perches" surveyed in pursuance of a warrant dated the 10th of February (1794) granted to "JOSEPH BELL" whose right to the same is granted to SAMUEL SHIPLEY by patent dated the 1st day of March (1836). EVOLVED IN PATENT BOOK #35 PAGE 405 and whereas the afore said SAMUEL SHIPLEY and ELIZABETH his wife on the day of ? One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Seven have signed sealed and delivered unto FRANCIS MORRISON of the afore said township a conveyance deed. Whereby for the consideration herein after mentioned hath bargained and sold unto the said FRANCIS MORRISON, "Seventy Two Acres and One Quarter and Thirty Seven Perches and allowances of the afore said tract of land. Therefore know all men by these presents that I SAMUEL SHIPLEY and ELIZABETH his wife for and in consideration of the sum of ONE DOLLAR to us in hand paid at the sealing and delivery of these presents by FRANCIS MORRISON of Henry Clay Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania have granted and bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said FRANCIS MORRISON all and singular the above described tract plantation or parcel of land and hereby do acknowledge the receipt for the payment and forever acquit the said FRANCIS MORRISON from the same. To have and to hold the same plantation unto him and his heirs forever with all the rights liberties privileges and appurtenances what so ever there unto belonging unto him the said Francis Morrison and his heirs Forever. And the said SAMUEL SHIPLEY doth hereby agree to warrant and defend the same against him and his heirs and against all and every other person claiming or to claim the same in any part thereof.
