We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Indenture between ESTHER HAGERTY, et al and SAMUEL CRAFT HAGERTY; May 5,1883 Book 54, Page 256 This Indenture, made the 5th day of May 1883, between Esther Hagerty, widow of Robert Hagerty, deceased, Clark Hagerty, and Laura his wife, Indiana Hagerty, Louisana Brown and Richard H. Brown her husband, Eliza Lynn and Andrew Eli Lynn her husband, Finley Hagerty and Sarah J. his wife (the said Clark Hagerty, Indiana Hagerty, Louisana Brown, Eliza Lynn and Finley Hagerty being children And heirs of the said Robert Hagerty late of Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, deceased), parties of the first part and Samuel Craft Hagerty of the Township, County and State aforesaid party of the second part. Whereas by an agreement dated the 31st day of March AD 1883 the said widow Esther Hagerty and heirs of the said Robert Hagerty deceased, the said parties of the first part then agree to execute and deliver to the said party of the second part a deed of release for the hereafter described piece or part of land, said agreement recorded in the office for recording of deeds in and for the said County of Fayette in agreement Book No. 4, page 474. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said Esther Hagerty, Clark Hagerty and Laura his wife; Indiana Hagerty; Louisana Brown and Richard H. Brown her husband; Eliza Lynn and Andrew Eli Lynn her husband; Finley Hagerty and Sarah J. his wife, the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of six dollars to them in hand paid by the said Samuel Craft Hagerty party of the second at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof acquit and discharge the said Samuel Craft Hagerty his heirs, executors and administrators by these presents have and each and every of them hath --- released and forever quit claimed ... (etc.) unto the said Samuel Craft agerty...(etc.) that ... piece or tract of land situate lying and being in the said Township of Redstone, County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania and now in possession of the said Samuel Craft Hagerty, adjoining lands of Solomon Crumrine, William Crumrine, John E. Craft and others ... [next follows the survey description.] Containing seventy three acres and thirty one perches strict measure be the same more or less. Being the same tract of land conveyed to the said Robert hagerty from Alexander B. Craft and wife by then deceased deed the 29th day of November AD 1878 recorded in the Recorder of deeds office in and for said County of Fayette in Deed Book No. 35 page 458 and 459. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, rights, members and appurtenances...(etc.) unto the said Samuel Craft Hagerty, his heirs and assigns forever.
