This deed was recorded below the deed of George to Joseph and probably transferred the land mentioned in that deed. Know All Men by these presents that I Joseph Hardin and Ann my wife and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars to us in hand paid at and before the ensealing & delivery hereof by Henry Hardin the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted assigned & set over by these presents do grant assign and set over unto the said Henry Hardin his heirs and assigns the within indenture to have and to hold the same unto the said Henry Hardin his heirs & assigns forever. Witness our hands & seals this 5th day of May 1831 Signed sealed and delivered in Joseph Hardin (Seal) presence of Squire Ayres. Ann X Harden (Seal) John Hardin mark Received on the day of the date of the above assignment twenty dollars being the consideration money in full paid me by Joseph Hardin. Wts my hand the 5th day of May 1831. Joseph Hardin Fayette County S.S. Personally came before me the Subscriber a Justice of the Peace of said County of Fayette the within named assignees and acknowledged the foregoing assignment to their act & deed & desired the same to be recorded as such. She the said Ann being by one examined separate and apart from Joseph hersaid Husband acknowledged that she signed the same without any coercion or compulsion on the part of her said husband.
