Deed dated April 3, 1829 conveying 3 tons pig metal and a tract of land situate in Georges Township on Georges Creek. This indenture made the twenty third day of April A.D. 1829 between George Hardin of the County of Fayette & State of Pennsylvania of the one part and Joseph Hardin of the same county and state of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Hardin for and in consideration of five tons three quarters Pig metal well and freely paid and delivered in fulfillment of a certain covenant between the said parties hath granted bargained Sold released and confirmed and by these presenst doth grant bargain sell and release and confirm unto the said Joseph Hardin his heirs and assings a certain tract or parcel of land situate on the waters of Georges Creek, Georges Township County and State aforesaid adjoining lands of the Delancy family, Joseph Kennison, and John Oliphant containing one hundred acres be the same more or less it being the same tract which George Craft Esquire Sheriff of the County of Fayette by deed dated the 13th day of March 1826 sold to the said George Hardin as the property of John Hardin, To have and to hold the said tract of land hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining for such estate as the said George Hardin acquired by said sheriff deed to him the said Joseph Hardin his heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof the granting party hath hereunto set his hand and seal day and year above written, and delivered in presence George Hardin (Ss) of. Note the name ³Hardin² in the 14th Th. Irwin line first altered James Piper Received on the day and date of the above written Indenture five tons and three quarters of pig metal of the said Joseph Hardin being the full consideration above mentioned. Appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for the County of Fayette the above named George Hardin and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such.
