Deed dated March 19, 1812. Land situate in Springhill Township. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Recorded and Compared 27th August 1814 Whereas the commonwealth of Pennsylvania by patent dated the 25th day of September in the yearof our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty eight did grant unto John Hardin of Springhill Township Township Fayette County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania aforesaid deceased a certain tract of land called ³Hardin¹s Park² Situation Georges Creek in the said Township County and Commonwealth__And Whereas the said John Hardin in and by his last Will and Testament dated the 13th day of May 1803 did devise as follows to wit ³Ibequesth to my sons George and Cato 290 Acres of this farm I now live on to be divided in Equal Shears both in number of acres and quality of Soil Each one to possess the end of the place he now lives on² And Whereas the Said George Hardin and Cato Hardin pursuant to the last Will and Testament of the said deceased to have Mutually severed their Interests in the said devise by marked lines agreeably to the parties__Now This Indenture Witnesseth that the said Cato Hardin and Susannah his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of two hundred and forty dollars money of the United States to them in hand paid by George Hardin aforesaid the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have granted, bargained and Sold And by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said George Hardin his heirs and assigns the folowing described part of Cato Hardins purport in the before mentioned devise (to wit) Beginning at Stones where the line of division between the aforesaid George Hardin and Cato Hardin of the before mentioned devise intersects the line of John Oliphants and Andrew Oliphant and resuming South eighty five degrees and a quarter one hundred One hundred fifty five perches and five tenths to a White Oak thence North twenty six degrees east twenty nine perches and eight tenths to a post thence, south twenty seven and a half degrees West one hundred Seventy four perches and the tenths to the Beginning Containing twelve Acres and three perches Strict Measure with the appurtenances. To have and to hold the same unto the said George Hardin his heirs and assigns forever freely and clearly acquited and discharged from the legal Claim Challenge or demand of the other heirs of the said John Hardin deceased or any other person or persons whomsoever by which a good and sufficient title to the same wright in anywise be embarased, In Witness whereof the said Cato Hardin and Susanah his wife have hereunto set their hands and Seals the nineteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve 1812.
