The following is transcribed from LDS film #0863554 - Fayette County Court
House Records of Deeds and Mortgages Vol. M, p. 347 - 348.  Indenture from John
& Phebe Hibben to Sarah Milhouse in 1814.

    WHEREAS  William Devore and Mary his wife by Indenture dated the twenty
eighth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
nine did grant bargain and sell unto William Sullivan of Union Town one
undivided half party of a part of a lot of grounds No. 12 situated in Jacobs'
Addition to "Uniontown" Bounded and described as follows viz Beginning at a
post on the north side of Peters Street a. corner of Colonel Thomas Collins lot
thence at right angles with Peters Street and with a line of Colonel Thomas
Collinss lot aforesaid northward one hundred feet to a post a. corner of John
Wood Esquires' lot thence by the same amt. on a parallel with Peters Street
Eastward twenty one feet to the North side of Peters Street aforesaid thence by
the same westward twenty one feet four inches to the beginning subject only to
the reservations and then future taxes See Book H page 206 where the same is
recorded and whereas Elijah Tracy and Catherine his wife by a writing under
their hands and seals dated the seventeenth day of January in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine did convey their moiety of that part
of lot No. 12 above fully described unto George Hoover Junior See Book F page
181 where this is recorded and whereas the said Hoover together with Rosamich
his wife by an assignment at the bottom of said writing dated the fourth day of
July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten did convey and
transfer unto the said William Sullivan their purport so as aforesaid
transferred by the said Elijah Tracey and Catherine his wife to the said George
Hoover See Book H page 246 and whereas William Sullivan together with Mary his
wife by indenture dated the first day of March in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and fourteen did convey the before mentioned and
described parts of lot No. 12 in "Jacob's Addition" aforesaid unto John Hibben
See Book I pages 220 & 221 the same is recorded.  Now this indenture witnesseth
that the said John Hibben and Phebe his wife for and in consideration of one
hundred and sixty dollars to them paid by Sarah Milhouse of Union Town the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Sarah Milhouse the
before mentioned and described parts of lot No. 12 in Jacobs's Addition
aforesaid to have and to hold the same unto the said Sarah Milhouse her heirs
and assigns forever free from the effect of any judgment obtained mortgage
given or any encumbrance suffered by the granting party prior to the date
hereof by means of which a good title is the same may or might at any time
hereafter become harassed  In witness whereof the granting party aforesaid have
hereunto set their hands and seals the thirty first day of July in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 19

Eber Addis                       and sixty dollars, the consideration
                                        therein mentioned.

Fayette County __ the 31 day of July Ano Domini 1819 before me the subscriber
one of the justices of peace in and for said County personally came John Hibbin
& Phebe his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture to be their act and
deed She having been separately examined and the contents made known to her
previous thereto given under my hand & seal the same day.
         RECORDED AND COMPARED 5th OF AUGUST 1819      Thomas Hibben
