To George W. MYERS Deed Book V. 5, P.158 John S COBER & wife Hannah Recorder's Office Date: 31 August 1848 Fayette County, Pa. This Indenture made the thirty first day of August eighteen hundred and forty eight between John S COBER and Hannah his wife of Unity Township in the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and George W. MYERS of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John S. COBER for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred and thirty dollars to him in hand paid by the said George W. MYERS, the receipt of which he does hereby acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully satisfied and paid. Has granted bargained and sold and by these presents does grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm to the said George W. MYERS and his heirs and assigns forever all the following described two lots or parcells of land in Bullskin Township Fayette County. Lot No. 1 Beginning at a corner joining Dana RICES land in Bullskin Township thence south forty five and one fourth of a degree east seventy one and five tenths perches to a corner post, thence by land formerly of said John S. COBER North two and one half degrees east seventy six and six tenths perches to a corner post, thence by land of the same south sixty eight degrees west forty three and three tenths perches to the place of beginning containing as is supposed thirteen and one half acres strict measure but be the same more or less, It being the same parcel of land which John J. COBER and Hannah his wife by their deed of seventeenth of August eighteen hundred and forty conveyed to the said John S. COBERreference to this deed being had will fully and at large appear. Lot or parcel No. 2 being the same tract of land which Daniel ROGERS Executor of Isaac MEASE by his deed of sixth of April eighteen hundred and thirty nine conveyed to the said John S. COBER and contains as is supposed sixty four and three fourths acres strict measure, but be the same more or less and is bounded and described as follows: Beginning at stones thence by land of David RICE south forty seven and a half degrees east thirty one perches to stones, thence south forty four and three fourth degrees West thirty five perches to a white oak, thence by land of William ANDREWS heirs south forty five degrees east forty two and eight tenths perches, thence North forty five and one fourth degrees east seventy four and five tenth perches to stones in the road, thence North twenty five and one fourth degree West sixty two and five tenth perches to a post, thence North eight and three fourth degrees West seventy one and five tenth perches to a white oak, thence North Sixteen degrees West forty six and seven tenth perches, thence North twenty seven and a half degrees West twenty two and five tenths perches, thence North forty five and one fourth degrees West fifteen and seven tenth perches, thence south two and a half degrees West one hundred and seventy nine perches to the place of beginning, both of which parcels of land above described are hereby conveyed by the said John S. COBER and Hannah his wife to the said George W. MYERS Together with all and singular the houses outhouses buildings barns woods ways waters water-courses, rights liberties privileges hereditaments & appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or appertaining or in anywise lying & being in the bounds thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever in law or equity or in any manner whatever belonging to them the said John S. COBER and Hannah his wife To have and to hold the two tracts of ground or parcels of land herein above described by courses and distances to the George W. MYERS and his heirs and assigns. To and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said George W. MYERS and his heirs and assigns forever - and the said John S. COBER and Hannah his wife and their heirs do hereby warrant promise grant and agree to and with the said Geo. W. MYERS and his heirs and assigns that they will Warrant and forever defend the lands herein described to the said George MYERS and his heirs and assigns against them and their heirs and assigns and against all manner of legal persons and claims whatever. The quantity as before state being granted and taken as more or less. In testimony of which the same John COBER and Hannah his wife hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written John S. COBE Hanna (X) COBER Her Mark Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of John E. FLEMING Benjamin F. PORE Recd of G. W. MYERS on the day of the date of the foregoing fifteen hundred and thirty dollars the consideration money therein set forth in full. John S. COBER Westmoreland County Personally appeared before the undersigned a justice of the peace inand for said County John S. COBER and Hannah his wife who have made the foregoing deed to G. W. MYERS and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purpose therein set forth and desired that the same may be recorded as such according to law, the said Hannah of full age being by me made fully acquainted with the contents of said Indenture, and being also by me examined separate and apart from her husband she declared that she signed sealed and delivered the same of her own free will and accord without any coersion and compulsion on his part - In Testimony of which I hereunto set my hand and seal the 16th day of September 1848.
