This indenture made the seventh day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six between Francis Morrison and Eliza his wife of Henry Clay Township, Fayette County state of Pennsylvania of the first part and Mary Shipley of the same township, County and State of the second part. The within said party of the first part for the consideration of the sum of seven hundred and fifty dollars, lawful money of the United States of America unto them paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released conveyed and confirmed, and by the presents do grant unto the said party of the second part, her heirs and assigns all the following described parcel of land lying and being in the township of Henry Clay of Fayette. This land containing seventy two acres and one quarter and thirty seven perches and allowance and it being part of a tract patented to Samuel Sh Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of us: Francis Morrison (seal) Eliza Morrison (her mark) (seal) Received the day of the date of the above indenture of the above named Mary Shipley the sum of Seven Hundred and fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States being the considered money above mentioned in full. Witness: Ziba Burnworth Rhoda Ann Burnworth (Fayette County (seal) (stamp) On the seventh day of September Anne Domino 1856 before me the subscriber one of the justices came named Francis Morrison and Eliza his wife and acknowledged that the above indenture to their act and deed and desire that the same be recorded as such. She said Eliza Morrison being of lawful age and examined separate and apart from her said husband and declared that it was done with her own free will and act without any coercion from her said husband whatsoever.
