Whereas the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for and in the consideration of the monies paid hath granted unto Samuel Shipley a certain tract of land in Henry Clay Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania containing four hundred and thirty three acres and ninety two perches subscribed in pursuance of a warrant dated the tenth day of February 1794. Granted to Joseph Bell whose right to the same is granted to Samuel Shipley by patent dated the first day of March A.D. 1836 involved in patent book volume 35 page 405, and whereas the aforesaid Samuel Shipley and Elizabeth his wife on the of ? A.D. one thousand eight hundred and thirty six have signed sealed and delivered unto Francis Morrison of the aforesaid township a conveyance deed whence by considerations hereafter mentioned hath bargained and sold unto the said Francis Morrison, Seventy Two Acres and one quarter and thirty seven perches and allowance of the afore tract of land. Therefore know all men by these presents that I Francis Morrison and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to us in hand paid at the sealing and delivery of these presents by Francis Morrison of Henry Clay Township, Fayette County, state of Pennsylvania have granted bargained and sold and by singular the above described plantation or parcel of land and have hereby do acknowledge the receipt for the payment of the same and forever acquit the said Francis Morrison Jr. from the same to have and to hold the same plantation unto him and his heirs and assigns forever. With all the rights, liberties and privileges whatsoever thence unto belonging to the said Francis Morrison Jr. his heirs and assigns forever., and behalf of him the said Francis Morrison Forever, and the said Francis Morrison doeth hereby covenant and agree to warrant and defend the same against him his heirs and assigns all and every other persons claiming or to claim the same of part thereof. Personally came Francis Morrison and Mary his wife before me one of the justice of the peace in and for the said county and acknowledge the within deed of conveyance to be their and deed for the purpose therein mentioned and desire the same might be recorded as such, the wife having been examined separate and apart from her husband and declared it was done with her own free will and act without any coercion from her husband whatsoever.
