We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ This Indenture made this thirty first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight by and between Bazil Brownfield of Union Township Fayette County and State of Pennsylvania and Sarah his wife of the one part and Gabriel Sisler of George Township County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Bazil Brownfield and Sarh his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and sixty five dollars to them paid by the said Gabriel Sisler at or before the sealing of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant and bargain and sell unto the said Gabriel Sisler a certain piece or parsel of land situated and laying in George Township County and State aforesaid adjoining lands of Joseph Sweney Othaniel Rhodes Phillip Miller/others whereof said Sisler now resides and bounded as follows Beginning at a stone on Rhoads and Millers lands thence by lands of said Miller S38E.- 50.3 perches to a post thence S.49.E.52.2 Perches to a post thence N.39.: E.130 Perches to a post thence by the lands of Joseph Sweney S.86.W39.3 perches to post thence N4. W22.7. perches to stones thence S86. W66.8 perches to stones thence S53.W 23.6 perches to stones thence N 53 W 65. perches to stones thence S. 45.:W.30.6 perches to the beginning. Containing Fifty five Acres and one road and twenty seven perches. To have and to hold the above described lot or parsel of land together with all and singularly the appurtenances hereditaments whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the only proper use benefit and behalf of the said Gabriel Sisler, his heirs or assigns forever and the said Basil Brownfield and Sarah his wife for themselves their heirs executes administrators or assigns will forever warrant and defend the above described lot or parsel of fifty five acres one rood and twenty seven perches of land to the only proper use benefit and behalf of the said Gabriel Sisler his heirs and assigns from any person or persons claiming as to claim by or set their hands and seals the day and date above written Bazil Brownfield (Seal) Sarah Brownfield (Seal) Signed/Sealed in the presence of WW Stumph Received March the 31st AD. 1848 of AM Gim Gabriel Sisler one hundred and Sixty five dollars in full of the within consideration, Basil Brownfield Attest WW Stumph Fayette County On the 31st day of March 1848 Before me one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County personally appeared the before named Bazil Brownfield and Sarh his wife and acknowledged the foregoing Indenture or deed of conveyance to be their act and deed for the purpose therein expressed she the said Sarh being by me examined separate and apart from her husband said she signed and sealed the same of her own voluntary act without any compulsion or coersion of her said husband they desiring the same may be recorded Witness my hand and seal the day and date above written WW Stumph J.P.
