All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: T Keith Rosselle krosselle1@comcast.net October 16, 2012, 11:32 am Written: September 18, 1858 Recorded: October 22, 1858 This indenture made the Eighteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and fifty eight between Lewis Snyder and Mary his wife of Tyrone Township Fayette County Pennsylvania of the first part and Joseph Freed of Bullskin Township County and State aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Seventeen hundred dollars lawful money of the United States of America unto well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released enfeoffed released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that certain messuage or tenements or tract of land situated and lying in Tyrone township aforesaid and bounded and described thus Beginning at a stone thence by the land of Jacob D. Overholt West one hundred and fory five Perches thence North twenty one and a half degrees West eight perches thence South twenty one degrees West seventeen perches thence North thirty two degrees West forty six perches thence south by land of E. Bobbs twenty eight and a half degrees West fifty perches to Chestnut thence south forty five degrees East fifty three perches thence North thirty and a fourth degrees East forty two and five tenth perches thence South Six and a half degrees East three perches thence by land of Jacob Snyder South twenty one and a half degrees. East Ninety four and four tenth perches to a stone thence by Meeting house lot eighty five degrees West twelve and six tenth perches to stone thence by land of James Bryant North twenty seven degrees East fifty seven and fourth tenth perches thence East Seventy one perches to (blank), (blank) thence North thirty eight and four tenth perches to the place of beginning containing Fifty eight and one fourth acres strict Measure; it being part of a larger tract of land late the property of Ludwick Snyder late of Tyrone township Decd, who by his last will and testament dated September 12" A.D. 1837 and Did devise and bequeath the above described tract of land to his son Lewis Snyder party to these presents and Now by this Indenture of said Lewis Snyder and Mary his wife to the aforesaid Joseph Freed: Together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways waters water courses Rights Liberties Privileges Hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the Reversions and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof: and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them thesaid parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof To have and to hold the said within described Fifty eight and 1/4 Acres of land Strict Measure Hereditaments and premises hereby granted or Mentioned and intended so to be with the apputrenances unto the said Joseph Freed his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said Joseph Freed his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lewis Snyder and Mary his wife for themselves their heirs Executors and Administrators Do by these presents Covenant grant and agree to and with the said Joseph Freed his Heirs and Assigns that they the said parties of the first part and their heirs all and Singular the Hereditaments and premises hereinabove described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part and their Heirs and against all and every other person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend In witness thereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangable set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written. Sealed and delivered in the presence of us Lewis Snyder James N. McDonald Mary x(her mark) Julianne Mc Donald $1700.00 received the day of the date of the within or aforegoing Inednture of the within named Joseph Freed Seventeen hundred dollars the considerstion mentioned in full. Witness Lewis Snyder James McDonald Julianne McDonald Fayette County SS: On the Eighteenth day of September Anno Domini 1858 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally apeared the within named Lewis Snyder and Mary his wife and in due form of law, acknowledged the within aforegoing indenture to be their act and deed and desired the same might be recorded as such and the said Mary being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the within indenture being by me first made known to her declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the said Indenture without any coercion or compuslion of her said husband.
