Gustafson GenealogyBug@Gustafson.net Gosper County, NE CC http://www.rootsweb.com/~negosper/ Gustafson-Wichmann Home Page ***************************************** Wilson to Lecky/Lacky - 1803 Fayette County, PA Deed Book E, p. 143-144 Whereas the Honorable the proprietaries of the late province of Pennsylvania by patent filed the twenty ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one, did grant unto Alexander Wilson a certain tract of Land called "Refuge" situate on the Waters of Dunlap's Creek, on the East side of Monongahela River formerly in Cumberland then Bedford County and now Fayette County in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Beginning at a post, thence by land of James Wilson, North forty four Degrees east ninety one perches to a post, thence by land Claimed by William Spencer south forty-six degrees east one hundred and eighty four perches to a post, thence by land claimed by John Meyers South forty-four degrees west one hundred and ten perches to a marked sugar tree, thence by vacant land north nine degrees west thirty perches to a marked white oak and north forty six degrees West one hundred and sixty perches to the place of Beginning. Containing one hundred Acres and the usual allowance of six Acres pr. Cent for Roads and Highways with the Appurtenances. Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Alexander Wilson and Deborah his wife, for and in Consideration of the natural love and affection they and each of them have and bear toward their son in Law John Lacky and Mary his wife and for their furtherance help prosper[i]ty and Comfort in the world, and as well for and in consideration of the sum of ten Dollars to him the said Alexander Wilson paid by the said John Lecky the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, Have granted bargained and sold, And by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John Lecky the before described tract of Land and premises with the Appurtenances To have and to hold the same unto the said John Luckey [Sic.] his heirs and Assigns for ever. Exonerated from the payment of former taxes and freely acquited [sic.] and discharged from the effect of any Judgment, Mortgage or other encumbrance, given executed or Suffered by the said Alexander Wilson or any other under him. And subject only to the reservations on the part of the Commonwealth aforesaid, relative to One, as are expressed and contained in said patent, and to which the same are liable. In Witness whereof the Granting party to these presents Have set their Hands and affixed their seals, the second day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand Eight hundred and three.
