Hebb, Inventor Of Coke Drawer, Patents Machine To Sell Papers ----- An ingenious newspaper vending machine which not only hands out your favorite newspaper when you want it, but makes accurate change as well, is the latest creation of John A. Hebb, well-known Hopwood inventor, known especially for placing industry's first coke machine on the market. For three years Mr. Hebb slaved over a mechanism that gave satisfactory results to the customer and now he believes he has clicked. The model was built at his home with few more tools than a penknife, a couple of screwdrivers and a soldering iron, but it is the first machine of its kind in the world and the inventor has received high compliment from not only newspaper publishers, but merchants handling newspapers as well. Three patents have already been secured on the invention, feature of which is the accurate change-making apparatus which hands you back exact change from your nickel, dime or quarter, after taking out the necessary two or three cents, what ever the case may be, for the paper. While there are vending machines and change makers on the market, none have the new and modern features of Mr. Hebb's creation which handles any size newspaper and which never fails in accuracy. Not only that, the machine is absolutely foolproof and there's no way to beat it. If the customer wants a three cent paper, he drops three pennies in the right slot, turns the handle, and zip, the paper is his. Two pennies won't do it--there must be three. If, however, pennies are scarce, a nickel or a dime dropped in the proper repositories, bring out the paper and the accurate change. Experts who have viewed the machine predict a bright future for it, and the inventor intimates he is already considering several flattering offers for marketing rights.
