Friday, February 21, 1919, The Daily Courier, Connellsville, Pa JOHN L. LONGANECKER Private John L. Longanecker of the 80th Division has returned home after having been honorably discharged from the service. He arrived in New York on January 31, and was sent to Camp Dix where he received his discharge on February 14. Private Longanecker participated in the fierce fighting at Argonne forest and at Verdun. During the latter action, he was wounded by a machine gun bullet. At the time of the signing of the armistice, he was in a hospital.
