FUNERAL OF MISS MOORE NEW SALEM, Aug.5 - The funeral services over the remains of Miss Anna Thompson Moore, who died Friday, July 28, 1916, at her late home near New Salem, were held at her late home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Dr. W. Scott Bowman, of Uniontown, conducted the services. Undertaker C. B. Dearth had charge of the burial. Miss Moore had been a member of the New Salem Presbyterian church since her childhood and was well liked by all with whom she came in contact. Her's was a useful life and her chief pleasure was in ministering to the wants of others. Miss Moore was 81 years of age and was a daughter of John and Jane Moss Moore and was a life long resident of German township. She was preceded in death by one brother, George C. Moore, and three sisters, Mrs. Adda M. Black, Mary Jeffries and Mrs. Margaret Deffenbaugh. Two sisters, Mrs. Margery Core and Jane H. More yet survive her. Members of the Lambert Sunday school and the Presbyterian choir of New Salem rendered the music. The funeral services were largely attended. The pallbearers were A. M. Ward, James McWilliams, Benjamin Keener, Thomas G. Christopher, Freeman Byers and Alex Langley.
