John L. Beal, 86, Dies at Jeannette, Former Mount Pleasant Man

John L. Beal former Mount Pleasant resident for more than 70 years died Thursday
night at 11:30 at the home of his son J. H. Beal. 

Besides his widow, Mrs. Lydia Beal survive these children J. H. Beal of
Jeannette, Frank Beal of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. J. D. Stewart of Jeannette, Mrs.
D. B. Evans of Jeannette, Mrs. Edward Cooper of Mount Pleasant, Mrs. William
Meyers of Youngwood, twenty-eight grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.

The funeral service was this afternoon at 3:00 at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Edward Cooper in Mount Pleasant. Interment in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

John Lichty Beal was born 17 August 1847 the son of Daniel Nicholas Beal and
Mary Lichty.  John married Lydia Smith 20 Dec 1866. They had ten children: James
H., Emma (md. James Edward Stewart), Norman, Cora May (md. Dermitte B. Evans),
Benjamin Franklin, Eleanor, Ada May (md. Edward H. Cooper, Alva, Eva (md.William
A. Meyers) and Grant.
