Cassidy, 56, 14 Herman St., Uniontown, formerly of Filbert and Leisenring, died at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was born March 1, 1907, at Leisenring, a son of the late Thomas J. and Margaret Curtain Cassidy. He was graduated from Dunbar Township High School with the Class of 1925. He leaves his widow, the former Thelma Freed; three children, Patricia, Colleen and Ronald at home; two brothers, Francis of Pittsburgh and Vincent of Baltimore, and six sisters: Mrs. George Evans of Jeannette, Mrs. Edward Werwin of Trafford, Mrs. Robert Haney of Pittsburgh, Miss Margaret of Wilkinsburg and Mrs. Jack Lukasic and Mrs. George Germot of Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen, and a brother, Joseph. He was a member of St. John's R. C, Church of Uniontown. The body is at the Gleason funeral home at Uniontown. Solemn high mass of requiem will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. John's Church there with Rev. James O'D. Hanlon as celebrant, Rev. David L. Fisher, deacon and Rev. F. Edward L. Kretz subdeacon. Burial will he made in Lafayette Memorial Park.
