Chambers, 50, of Jumonville road, died in Uniontown Hospital at 7:50 o'clock Wednesday morning. He was employed as a mechanic by the U. S. Steel Corporation at the Continental No. 1 mine for the past 34 years and also followed the barbering trade. He was a member of the Uniontown Brethren Church, Local No. 6552, UMW, and Uniontown Moose. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Goldie Freed Chambers; his mother, Mrs. Bertha Frieberg Chambers of Uniontown; four brothers, Alvie of Brownsville, Phillip of Uniontown, Ralph of Brownsville and Arthur of Jumonville road, and five sisters, Mrs. Laura Retkofsky of Uniontown, Mrs, Estella Lenhart of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Edythe Wilson of Philadelphia, Mrs. Norena Mitchell of Uniontown and Mrs. Henrietta Barclay of Chalk Hill. The funeral service will be held at the Gleason funeral home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. Ralph Mills officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
