We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ The 1913 obituary for Thomas Cauffield reads as follows: AGED RESIDENT OF MILLSBORO Thomas Cauffield is Dead at the Age of 83 Years--Was Long A Farmer Millsboro, April 1. In the death of Thomas Cauffield, which occurred this morning at 2:30 o'clock, Millsboro lost one of its oldest and best known citizens. Mr Cauffield was born near Brownsville 83 years ago and for the past 24 years has resided in Millsboro. He had enjoyed his usual health until two weeks ago when he contracted a heavy cold which resulted in his death. Mr Cauffield had been engaged in farming and stockraising until 14 years ago when he retired. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church. Mr Cauffield's wife died September 23, 1912. Three children survive: Mrs George C Virgin of Millsboro; Paul Cauffield; and Miss Carrie Cauffield at home. Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev D A Cooper of Clarksville. Interment will be in the Red Stone Cemetery.
